Vietnamese Tribal Chieftan's Coat This Vietnamese tribal chieftan's coat is a unique item, purchased from a tribal art gallery in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. The coat includes animist symbols done in silk threads on a handwoven cotton base, with a linen/cotton lining. It was used for ritual events among one of the indigenous groups in Vietnam, and dates from the 19th century or earlier. Above is the back of the coat and below is the detail of the back and the front of the garment. Price: $1,795.00.
