Simon and Mia Graber Miller play with their new puppy friends at an antique warehouse we discovered in rural Sichuan Province, China. Several 19th-century Chinese window screens are visible in the background.

Asian Art and Antiques

The primary Chinese art items we carry are Chinese farmer paintings, which you can see on the Chinese Farmer Painting page. We also have many Chinese wooden window panels from the 18th and 19th centuries, as well as smaller architectural and household antiques from China (See Asian Antiques). In addition, we have a range of what are known as inside-painting glass balls, hollow spheres painted through a tiny hole in the bottom of the glass (See Inside-Painting Balls).

Although currently we do not have them pictured on our website, we also carry Chinese teapots, authentic Chairman Mao red books from the Cultural Revolution of the 1960s ($22.50 each); Mao alarm clocks from the same period; mooncake molds; carved wooden puppets from the 19th century; snuff canisters; and teapot stands. Over time we will post these additional Chinese wares on this website.
