Antique Cambodian Buddhist Preah Bots (Cloth Paintings)

Additional antique Buddhist preah bots (Buddhist paintings on cloth) we purchased on our last sojourn in Cambodia include those on this page. These pieces originally hung in Buddhist wats (temples) across Cambodia. Now most of these scenes from Buddhist wats are painted directly on the upper concrete walls of the temples.

These preah bots come from the early- to mid-20th century, and are exquisite pieces, even though some have some minor holes or damage. They can be hung on a horizontal wooden pole or framed behind glass or in a shadow box.
